Using Geoexplorer When using Geoexplorer, you need to collect two kinds of data. One is the raw data for differential correction, only for the six control points. The name should be in this format "R0220XXX" for Feb. 20th. 6. Press enter button after you wait more than 10 seconds.Choose "Yes" to close this file. 7. Now Geoexplorer goes back to "Open Rov. File" automatically. Don't press enter button now . 8. suppose your next point is "nail_e". Take your Geoexplorer to "nail_e" and press enter button to start another new file. The other is waypoint for your comparation and feature mapping. 1.Turn on Geoexplorer. It shows the main manual. wait for five minute for caputuring the signal of sattlites. 2.choose "4.Navigation", press enter button. 3. Choose "4.Waypoint Setup", press enter button. 4. Choose "1.Add Here", press enter button. 5. Write down your waypoint name and take some notes. For example, "W10" is one of the waypoints for your polygon feature. 6.Then press enter button. Geoexplorer saves your waypoints automatically. 7.Go to another point and do it again. If you want to know the satellite information, in "Main Manu", choose "Satellite satus", then "sat. tracking". You can know something like "PDOP" there.
