The Women’s Leadership Conference provides a powerful opportunity for UT Dallas students to come together to make connections, learn strategies for overcoming the barriers that persist for women leaders, and develop ways to move innovative ideas into creative action.
KTVT Channel 11 anchor and host Tracy Kornet will be this year's keynote speaker.
An exciting all-day educational program is planned. This year's conference will cover topics such as:
- Healthy lifestyles
- Self-esteem
- Balancing personal and professional life
- Round table discussions with Dallas-area collegiate women student leaders
Keynote Speaker — Tracy Kornet, KTVT Channel 11 Dallas
Tracy joined TXA 21 and CBS 11 from KNXV-TV, the ABC affiliate in Phoenix, where she was a morning anchor and host. A four-time Emmy Award recipient, Tracy has previously co-hosted ABC's "The View" and has appeared on "Good Morning America."
A native of Chicago and raised in Tampa, Tracy holds a degree in communications from the University of Kentucky. She hopes to one day complete her graduate work at the Patterson School for Diplomacy and International Commerce in Lexington.
Tracy's husband, Frank, is a former professional basketball player. Together, they have three children: John, Nicole and Luke, plus a beagle named Copper.
In her spare time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and indulging in her love of music. In fact, prior to her career in broadcasting, Tracy was a back-up singer and dancer for a Japanese pop star!
