Q.
Will BSO give me a ride from the DFW airport ?
A. BSO
will try its best to arrange your ride from DFW airport . If possible,
a BSO volunteer would be
present at DFW to receive you. Please try to make sure you have some
place to stay; even if it is for a temporary basis.

Q.
What is the best time for me to reach in the DFW airport?
A. Week end. Week
end (Friday evening/Saturday or Sunday) is the best time for you to
arrive in Dallas. The volunteer who would go to receive you might have
class on weekdays and it would be very tough to arrange transportation
in week days.

Q.
How do I contact to get this transportation?
A. Contact the
current BSO executive committee. They are the best persons to contact.
Send a mail directly to the BSO president requesting for a ride. Also
cc the same mail to the vice president and general secretary.
Please go to

for information about the current BSO executive committee.

Q.
What should I do after reaching DFW ?
A. By time you
arrive DFW some of you might already have the immigration and some of
you might do it in DFW. Don't panic about the immigration. Answer the
question politely. If you need to fill up any form please fill up it
in BLOCK letter and clearly. Show your I-20 and other school papers to
the immigration officer. Its a regular process and everybody entering
U.S.A must go through it. SO don't worry, you will be fine. Don't
change your terminal where your carrier left you. DFW is a very large
airport, so don't wonder around the airport terminals. We will locate
your terminal using your flight number before leaving for DFW. SO if
you are not in the terminal your flight left you it would be really
tough to find you out.

Q.
I think I have lost my luggage?
A. It happens. Don't
panic. You have the token(s) of the luggage with you and go to the
airline lost luggage counter (the carrier which get you in DFW is the
responsible to carry your luggage to DFW) and show your luggage
token(s). If you are confused, don't worry wait for a BSO volunteer to
take care of your luggage.

Q.
Well, I am in the DFW for an hour and called several times and left
messages?
A. Sometimes it
happens. We are human being and sometimes the person from BSO gets
wrong information and goes to wrong place to pick wrong person. Don't
panic if this happens to you. Wait for 30 more minutes and if you
can't see anyone from BSO please arrange your own transportation.
Please see the answer of "I missed everything, is there anyway to get
out of this huge concrete jungle?" for the ground transportation to
UTD.

Q.
I missed everything, is there anyway to get out of this huge concrete
jungle?
A. Well, sometimes
it happens too. Don't panic and arrange your transportation. One of
the best (and most cost effective ways) is to take the discount
shuttle . In the terminal where you are, you will see signs for Ground
Transportation. Follow those, they will take you to something that
looks like a telephone / intercom booth. Look up the code for Discount
Shuttle ,and call that number. Tell the person who answers, that you
need a discount shuttle for UTD, which is in Richardson city, which is
in North Dallas. Also tell him/her the number of the gate and terminal
where you are. You might have to wait for sometime. The shuttle will
eventually reach you, and take you to the school campus. This is the
address that you give him/her -
University of
Texas at Dallas (UTD)
The Street Address:
2400 Waterview Parkway
Waterview Park Apartments
Richardson City (North Dallas), TX 75080
Closest Intersection: Campbell Road and Coit Road
If you are having
problem in finding any ground transportation then ask help from any
police or just call 911 to find a police to help you out.

Q. Accommodation
Once you have decided to come to
UTD, the best place to live in is
Waterview Apartments. If you don't plan to live off-campus, you
should submit a housing application with them. It is best to submit
your housing application 2-3 months before your arrival.
