Comet Camp
What do you get when you cross a “naked roommate,” tournament games, more than 300 new friends, air-conditioned cabins and great food? UT Dallas Comet Camp!
At Comet Camp, you will have the opportunity to
- Learn about UT Dallas traditions, such as the whoosh
- Participate in a variety of games such as volleyball, basketball, dominoes, catchphrase, spades, billiards, foosball, ultimate frisbee and more
- Listen to inspiring speakers
- Have time to chill at the pool with fellow freshmen
There’s even a chance for you to showcase your skills at a talent show and demonstrate your dance moves at the Galaxy Bash.
Comet Camp sessions will include:
- Cooking in college
- Surviving college
- Health education quiz bowl
- Things to do in the Metroplex
- Service learning projects
- Disability awareness
Comet Camp is held at Camp Hoblitzelle, in Midlothian, Texas. Located about one hour south of Dallas, this retreat center offers first-class facilities situated among gentle rolling hills and giant mesquite trees.
Transportation is provided to and from Comet Camp, and students will be picked up and dropped off at UT Dallas.
