The University of Texas at Dallas has appointed Meredith Dickenson as assistant vice president for communications. She will oversee the University's media relations functions, reporting to Susan Rogers, vice president for communications. read more
Campus Alert Network to Reinforce Emergency Messaging System
Over the next few weeks, The University of Texas at Dallas will implement a new cell phone emergency alert system. Students, faculty and staff members can sign up anytime for the service. This system, called Campus Alert, will supplement the Mobile Campus services instituted late last year. read more
UT Dallas Emergency Preparedness Fair is Sept. 21
In recognition of National Preparedness Month, UT Dallas will host a campus-wide Emergency Preparedness Fair this Friday. Activities will include fire containment demonstrations and training with the Richardson Fire Department. read more

Dr. Robert H. Rutford, the former president of The University of Texas at Dallas, was named president emeritus of that institution on Wednesday (July 11) by The University of Texas System Board of Regents. read more
