Recent Doctoral Graduates

Our recent Ph.D. graduates of the program have secured employment in both industrial and academic positions.

Of five most recent Ph.D. graduates in Applied Mathematics, three became Assistant Professors in the University of Houston, TX; Wagner College, Staten Island, New York; McMurry University, Abilene, TX; and Virginia Tech., and one is now employed by Convex Computer Corporation (a manufacturer of high-end computers).

In Statistics, out of eight most recent Ph. D. graduates, six received tenure-track faculty positions at Arizona State University, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Universidad Autonoma Chapingo, Mexico, the University of Louisville, Kentucky, Northern Arizona University, and DePaul University, Chicago; one became a senior statistician at Texas Instruments, Inc., and one joined the research staff of BNR, a telecommunications firm.

The active role of alumni ensures UTD's ability to reach its fullest potential. Alumni are more important than ever as UTD moves forward.
