Create an Endowment or Provide a Major Gift
There are several ways to show support for the University of Texas at Dallas Libraries, such as creating a library endowment or providing a major monetary gift. Endowments are created with a donation of $10,000 or more. The contribution is invested and will earn valuable interest in perpetuity. The Libraries would use a percentage of the accrued interest to purchase books and/or other materials. The remaining interest is reinvested into the endowment fund to ensure continuous growth. Endowments can be created in the subject area of your choice. Every item purchased from the endowment bears a specially designed bookplate or virtual icon acknowledgement.
Each endowment will remain at the University of Texas at Dallas Libraries to support our collections on a continuing basis. The principal of an endowment is never spent. It is forever a source of revenue for the Libraries.
If you have questions about a library endowment, please contact Dr. Larry Sall, Dean of the Libraries at sall@utdallas.edu or Dr. Ellen Safley, Senior Associate Director at safley@utdallas.edu
