Freshman Orientation
Freshman Orientation is an exciting first step to becoming part of the UT Dallas campus and community. This two-day program for all freshmen will provide an overview of the extensive range of opportunities available to you at UT Dallas.
During Freshman Orientation you will have the chance to:
- Meet other students and make new friends
- Meet with academic advisers and discuss classes and majors
- Complete course selections and registration
- Learn about academic expectations
- Learn about the University’s services and resources
- Familiarize yourself with the UT Dallas campus
- Meet with administrators
Registration
During Freshman Orientation, you will be able to register for classes. The more familiar you are with the courses being offered, the easier and smoother the advising and registration process. We recommend that you review the UT Dallas class schedule on the Course Lookup Web site before your scheduled orientation.
The registration period for Freshman Orientation 2008 is now closed.
Placement Tests
All students planning to take Pre-Calculus, Applied Calculus or Calculus I must fulfill course prerequisites. Visit the Undergraduate Dean's Web site for more information about math placement tests.
In addition, Computer Science students should read information about Computer Science placement testing.
